Hello, my name is Angela Rodriguez. As a senior at Olympian High School, I tried to gather as much experience as I could, especially in the art of filmmaking. Growing up, I always enjoyed watching video games and films. However, I realized that if I wanted to pursue game design, I needed to be acclimated to many different fields such as computer programming, art, and storytelling. Therefore, as a hobby, I began learning Unity, code editors, graphic design, and video editing programs to learn more about game development. The impact this activity had on me was monumental and my curiosity led me to spend the past few years learning about how to professionally brainstorm, outline, and execute games.

 

Now as a second-year at UC Berkeley pursuing a BS in Computer Science, I refine my skills with programming languages including Python, Scheme, and Java everyday. With my newfound interest in Computer Science, I hope to expand my knowledge on programming and combine my skills in film to develop riveting video games that all can enjoy.
